Instructor Profile

Dr. Parthivkumar Patel is an academician, researcher, and educator with more than twelve years of teaching experience in English Language and Literature at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He is currently serving as Associate Professor and Deputy Director at the Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE), Gujarat University, Ahmedabad. He earned his Ph.D. in English Literature in 2018 and qualified the Gujarat State Eligibility Test (GSET) in 2021. He also holds an M.Phil. in English and a Master’s degree in English Language Teaching (ELT), reflecting his strong academic foundation and commitment to higher education. Before joining Gujarat University, Dr. Patel served as an Assistant Professor of English at Parul University, Vadodara, from 2018 to 2026. During his tenure, he played a significant role in teaching Communication Skills and English language courses while actively contributing to various academic and administrative responsibilities. As a core member of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), he was closely involved in institutional quality enhancement initiatives and accreditation processes, including NAAC-related activities. Recognized as a Ph.D. Supervisor since 2019. Dr. Patel has successfully guided two doctoral scholars to the completion of their Ph.D. degrees and continues to mentor research scholars in the field of English Studies. His academic interests include English Literature, Diaspora Studies, Indian Writing in English, Literary Studies, and English Language Teaching. Dr. Patel has also made notable contributions to digital and online education. Since 2020, he has been associated with the UGC-sponsored e-content development initiative at the Human Resource Development Centre (HRDC), Gujarat University, where he has developed more than forty-three e-content modules based on the four-quadrant MOOC model. His work has significantly contributed to the promotion of quality online learning resources in higher education. A dedicated researcher and author, Dr. Patel has published two books and thirteen research papers in reputed journals, including Web of Science, UGC-CARE, and peer-reviewed publications. He has presented papers at numerous national and international conferences and has served as a session chair at international academic events. Throughout his career, he has received several awards and recognitions for academic excellence, institutional service, and contributions to quality education. He remains committed to research, innovation, digital learning, and the holistic development of students through meaningful academic engagement and scholarly excellence.
